Welcome to Sun-Up of Indian River, Inc.  Sun-Up was formally incorporated as a 501 (C) 3 in 1994 by a group of concerned parents and friends.  Their concerns and passion has provided the impetus to enable Sun-Up to grow. Our vision is a unique community where adults with developmental disabilities can reach their full potential in an environment where they can live, learn, work, play and enjoy life together. MISSION STATEMENT Sun-Up of Indian River, Inc.
The mission of Sun Up of Indian River, Inc.  To Provide a Quality Residential Opportunities as well as Support and Services for the Developmentally Disabled.

What We Do
Sun-Up offers a variety of educational, social, and recreational opportunities in Indian River County.  These are opportunities to maintain already learned skills and to develop new skills.
Sun-Up Saturdays
Some of the classes offered are computer basics, cooking, job seeking skills, acrylic painting, photography, arts and crafts, and cooking. 

Function & Meeting Rooms Available
Sun-Up's Activities & Recreation Center has rooms available for personal or business functions.  Our facility can accommodate groups of varying size.  This an excellent place to hold your banquet, seminar, social event or business meeting for an economical fee.  We are handicap accessible.  Please call 772-770-6626 for more information

Our Future Plans


Sun Up's Education/Activities Center was completed in 2004.  With this facility we can accommodate and expand the existing activities.  Our vision inludes training and education, job coaching, community job search, transportation and some sheltered work activity as well as "enterprise centers." Enterprise centers will be businesses set up to provide training and employment opportunities which would create a typical adult life opportunity.  It will also provide interaction with the greater community.

Also planned is a state of the art facility for residential opportunities in our unique community.  Our campus like development will house residents where fully trained staff will assist in supervison and care of our residents while meeting their medical, physical, emotional and social needs.  Homes are designed to accommodate six individuals with 24-hour supervision.  We have an openness to a variety of configurations and are willing to discuss options for perspective residents.
